facialsIf you have a desire to work in the ever-growing Skin Care, Makeup & Waxing Industries, our Esthetics Program is for you! Our Esthetician Program is designed to prepare the student in a knowledgeable background of Skin Analysis, Facials, Machine Facials, Skin Care Product Chemistry, Hair Removal, Makeup Artistry & Skin pathologies, structure and function. Completion of this program meets the requirements for the student to take the State Esthetics Exam and apply for State licensure.


Esthetics Program: 600 hours 16.5 hours a week for 34 weeks

Cost: $10,990 Deposit: $1,090 (Enrollments are completed at the school.)

Cost Includes: Tuition, fees, textbooks, product & treatment starter supplies, use of linens for student clinic.

Schedule:
Live Class: Tuesday 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. & Wednesday 10:00a.m.-2:00pm
Student Clinic: 6 hours per week. Times vary by semester.


The following subject areas are included in the program:

Orientation and Business – School policies, professional image, professional ethics and practices, successful communication, client records and confidentiality.

Skin Care – Health screening, client intake forms and consultations, skin analysis, skin types, basic manual facial procedures, extraction techniques, effleurage and related facial massage movements, cleansing procedures, facial machines, electrical facial treatments, machines, equipment and electricity, cosmetic chemistry, product ingredients, nutrition.

Hair Removal -Hair morphology, hair growth cycles, types of hair removal, tweezing, chemical and mechanical hair removal, types of wax, general procedures and safety measures.

Makeup – Makeup products, tools, and supplies, brushes, color theory, client makeupconsultation, special occasion makeup, camouflage, false lash application and removal, lash perming and tinting, retailing, lightening hair on the body except scalp, and general procedures and safety measures.

State Laws and Regulations -State Laws and Regulations regarding Esthetics: Board for Barbers and Cosmetologists, OSHA.

General Sciences – Principles of infection control, disinfection, sterilization, microorganisms, federal agencies, professional spa and salon image, OSHA requirements, Material Safety Data Sheets, and basics of electricity.

Applied Sciences – General anatomy and physiology, skin structure and function, skin disorders and diseases, and skin conditions.
